Abstract
The event for all pharmaceutical laboratory sectors will take place for the 13th time from 24 - 26 November 2025 - on site in Düsseldorf/Neuss. The PharmaLab 2025 conferences will cover various topics and lectures on analytics, bioanalytics and microbiology.
Parallel to the conferences, participants will have the opportunity to visit the accompanying trade exhibition. It offers comprehensive information about available products, services and the latest developments around the laboratory. Attendees will benefit from interactive sessions, regulatory insights, and the latest advances in lab automation and digitalization. PharmaLab offers a unique platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration among industry professionals, researchers, and regulatory stakeholders.
The following conferences are part of PharmaLab on 25 - 26 November 2025:
- GMP Compliance Trends Analytical Laboratories
- Laboratory Optimization, Automation and Digitalization
- NEW! Artificial Intelligence in Laboratories
- Endotoxin and Pyrogen Testing
- Alternative and Rapid Microbiological Methods
- Cell and Gene Therapies/ ATMPs - Quality and Safety
- Bioassays/Potency Assays – Regulatory Requirements, Development and Routine Use
- NEW! Bioanalytical Control of Biological Drug Substances and Products
- Two PharmaLab Pre-Conference Events will both take place on 24 November 2025.

Speaker: Christophe Girardey
Topics:
- Data Management / Data Science as foundation for a successful AI implementation.
- The sad reality of Data within the lab: paper, proprietary data format, lack of system integration.
- How can digital system like LIMS/LES and standards in the lab (SiLA, AniML/Allotrope) set the right foundation for FAIR Data?
- Presentation of first use cases for AI within the Lab.
Title: From Instrument to Knowledge: How to Organize the Digitalization of Your Laboratory?
Speaker: Steven van Helden
Abstract:
On a high level it sounds rather straightforward: you perform your scientific experiments in the lab, collect the data from the instruments, store them in a central database and knowledge is derived that drives the development of products.
The reality that you face in the lab is much more complex: you will have to consider optimizing workflows, integrating instruments, making sense of the different software solutions, dealing with your IT department, ensuring lab security, FAIRification of your data, coping with software updates and new developments, and finally translating all this into a sustainable IT landscape.
Using a screening lab as an example we will show how to build the bridge between science and IT to develop effective solutions for the lab.
