Abstract

Laboratory instruments generate vast amounts of valuable data, yet much of it remains isolated within individual systems. This presentation will showcase how to automate the flow of laboratory data from instrument to enterprise platform. Learn how automated data pipelines improve accessibility, governance, and reuse of scientific data while reducing manual effort and enabling faster insights. Through practical examples and lessons learned, the session illustrates how modern laboratory integrations can transform raw instrument data into a foundation for advanced analytics and AI-driven research.

Christine Rommel
R&D Lab Platform Senior Manager at CSL

Christine is part of the R&D Lab Platform team at CSL, where she is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operation of digital laboratory platforms supporting Research and Product Development.

Originally from Germany, Christine moved to Switzerland ten years ago to pursue a PhD in Computational Biology at ETH Zurich before transitioning into the pharmaceutical industry. At CSL, her work focuses on scientific data management, laboratory system integration, and the digital transformation of laboratory environments. She is passionate about advancing data-driven research through automated laboratory data pipelines and modern digital lab capabilities, enabling scientists to spend less time managing data and more time focusing on creativity and innovation.

Christine lives in Zurich with her husband and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through sports and spending time hiking in the Swiss mountains.
