Abstract:
The Festival of Biologics Basel 2026 is one of Europe’s leading events for the biologics and biopharmaceutical industry, bringing together experts from pharma, biotech, academia, research institutions, regulators and investors. Taking place from 13 - 15 October 2026 at Messe Basel, the event covers the entire biologics value chain, from early discovery and development to clinical trials, manufacturing, fill & finish and market access. Across three days, participants can explore the latest advances in antibody therapies, cell and gene therapies, immunotherapies, biosimilars and other emerging modalities. The program features keynote presentations, expert panels, roundtables, workshops and dedicated sessions on areas including AI and computational approaches, analytics, bioprocessing and manufacturing. Nicolas 's professional background is based on a dual qualification, as a clinical operational data expert and as an IT professional.
Nicolas has spent over 25 years in pharmaceutical/clinical development, business, informatics consulting and service delivery with a significant experience in the design and deployment of clinical information systems and technologies, with a special emphasis on cloud environment and international outsourcing business model related to clinical trials
Nicolas speaks both the language of clinical scientists and IT experts and can easily translate complex clinical process into operational reality.
He is interested in working towards improving efficiencies in Life Science industry using Machine Learning and Intelligence Artificial technologies.
Hendrik Attema
Hendrik Attema is a Senior Consultant and Business Analyst at wega Informatik AG, specialized in laboratory digitalization, LIMS/ELN strategy, and laboratory process optimization within the Life Sciences industry.
Hendrik combines a dual background in Analytical Chemistry and Business Engineering, enabling him to bridge scientific, operational, and technical domains effectively. His expertise focuses on translating complex laboratory and business requirements into scalable digital solutions and sustainable operating models.
His interests and experience span laboratory process analysis, requirements engineering, business analysis, and the development of future-oriented Lab-IT architectures. He has extensive experience supporting organizations in defining target operating models, preparing LIMS and ELN selections, and aligning laboratory workflows with regulatory and business requirements.
Prior to joining wega, Hendrik held international leadership and consulting positions in laboratory operations, LIMS implementation, pre-sales, and business transformation within organizations such as iVention, Eurofins, and Triskelion. He also has extensive experience in training, workshop facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration within highly regulated laboratory environments.
Michael Zocher
Dr. Michael Zocher is a Senior Consultant at wega Informatik AG, specializing in business analysis for LIMS implementation projects. With a background in biochemistry and extensive knowledge in molecular, cellular, and tumor biology, Michael's expertise is informed by his experience working as a patent examiner in Munich and in quality assurance, computer system validation, and business analysis roles at Roche. At wega, Michael primarily serves as a business analyst, providing essential support to clients seeking to implement or improve LIMS and eLN systems.
