Abstract
Selecting and implementing a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a strategic challenge that extends far beyond software selection. This presentation shares our journey from gathering requirements and vendor evaluation to the successful replacement of a legacy system within a mid-sized laboratory organization.

Nadine Lüdecke is Quality Control LIMS Administrator at BODE Chemie GmbH - company of the HARTMANN GROUP. She began her career as a Chemical Laboratory Technician and joined the company in 2009 in Quality Assurance before moving to Quality Control to lead the implementation of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Since the successful go-live in 2024, she has focused on optimizing digital laboratory processes and supporting broader rollout activities within the organization. Combining hands-on laboratory expertise with a passion for digitalization, she drives innovative solutions that increase efficiency and support future-ready laboratory operations.
Raphael Bohner
Head of Quality at BODE Chemie GmbH
Raphael Bohner is Head of Quality at BODE Chemie GmbH - company of the HARTMANN GROUP. A licensed pharmacist with a degree from the University of Freiburg, he brings more than 15 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, GMP compliance, and Computerized System Validation. Over the past decade, he has held various leadership and expert roles within the organization, including serving as a Qualified Person. Since 2023, he has led the quality organization, combining deep quality expertise with a strong focus on digital transformation and laboratory modernization.
Dirk Rehders
Head of Quality Control at BODE Chemie GmbH
Dirk Rehders is Head of Quality Control at BODE Chemie GmbH - company of the HARTMANN GROUP. After studying Chemistry and completing a PhD with a focus on NMR spectroscopy, he conducted research in structural biology and contributed to pioneering work in protein structure determination. He joined the company in 2019 and has extensive experience in regulated environments, specializing in analytical method development and validation. Since 2023, he has led Quality Control and, as LIMS system and process owner, drives the continuous improvement of digital laboratory processes and operational excellence.
