Abstract:
The SPARK Showcase Investor Day 2026, organized by the Innovation Office of the University of Basel, brings together early-stage life science startups, investors, industry experts and strategic partners in Basel. Taking place on 01 October 2026, the event provides a platform for emerging ventures from Switzerland, Europe and the U.S. to present their innovations and connect with potential investors and partners. The program features keynote presentations, a SPARK pitching competition, networking opportunities and dedicated 1:1 matchmaking meetings. A key objective is to build connections between academia, industry and investment and help translate promising scientific discoveries into real-world impact. As part of the international SPARK network, the event offers valuable insights into the latest developments and emerging ventures in life sciences and healthcare. wega will participate in the SPARK Showcase to connect with innovators and industry stakeholders and exchange perspectives on technology, digitalization and the future of life sciences.

Managing Director and Head of the CSV & QA department at wega Informatik AG.
He works as a CSV consulting expert in many different projects, mainly in German-speaking countries.
He has a particular focus on laboratory data systems (LIMS, chromatography data systems, laboratory execution systems) and supports customers in implementing the best solution from various perspectives (efficiency, compliance, data integrity).
He also supports many customers in the optimal use of the agile methodology in the GxP environment.
